TOLEDO, Ohio — This morning, 176 University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences medical students received their white coats during a ceremony at the Stranahan Theatre. 3/4 of these students are from Ohio and 1/4 are from right here in Northwest Ohio.

Watch the full story, here.

Today’s group is part of the College of Medicine and Life Sciences Class of 2025, a group that has demonstrated the humanistic values of a physician. Those with the university say this ceremony marks the beginning of a career in the noblest profession.

“The white coat ceremony is the first of many milestones these incoming medical students will experience here at UToledo,” said Dr. Christopher Cooper, Executive Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Dean of the College of Medicine and Life Sciences. “It’s a powerful symbol of our profession and a reminder of the commitment our students are making to professionalism, empathy, continuing education and the service of others.”
