TOLEDO, Ohio — Preparations are already being made ahead of the 2021 Solheim Cup, scheduled to take place in early September at Inverness Golf Club in West Toledo, with two big names scheduled to kick off the multi day event, including pop singer Gwen Stefani and country singer Chris Young.

Watch the full interview here.

The event is expected to bring over 500,000 people to the city of Toledo, bringing a much-needed economic boost to local businesses that have struggled over the last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With COVID-19 vaccinations ramping up, many, including Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz, expect normalcy to return in the early summer, with packed venues expected to return mid-late summer.

Steve Miller is the GM of the 2021 Solheim Cup and is overseeing the action this year. Miller says he looks forward to this year’s event and is anticipating businesses to benefit bigly from the golf tournament.
