City of Toledo water treatment plant expansion recognized as 2020 Co-Project of the Year
Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz says this award is a “testament to the ingenuity and expertise of the city’s plant operators”.
TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers has recognized the city of Toledo’s Collins Park Water Treatment Plant 40 million+ gallon expansion project as the 2020 Co-Project of the Year, along with the Ballville Dam removal project in Fremont, Ohio.
“The 40 million gallon per day expansion was an incredibly complex and challenging endeavor undertaken by the City of Toledo, its lead design firm, Arcadis, and the contractor, Mosser Construction,” said Toledo Public Utilities Director Ed Moore. “The successful improvements provide the Collins Park Water Treatment Plant with redundancy for the treatment of up to 140 million gallons per day.”
Representatives from Toledo Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers presented those with the water treatment plant with the award during a ceremony at the facility today.
