COVID-19 in Ohio: The latest on vaccinations, Delta surge
Health officials say the Delta surge may be over.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Thursday, the Ohio Department of Health held a COVID-19 briefing, in which it was announced that every county in the state has at least one resident hospitalized for COVID-19.
ODH Director Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff says that the Delta surge the state has been experiencing has since plateaued.
“It appears the Delta surge has, in fact, plateaued. Nevertheless, we continue to see very high numbers of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations,” said Vanderhoff.
This comes at a time where booster shots are beginning to be administered statewide, including at the Lucas County Rec Center.
