TOLEDO, Ohio — An early morning two-alarm fire, at the Miracle Manor Apartments on Jamieson Dr. in Toledo, has left many tenants displaced. The fast-moving fire broke out just after midnight — affecting three buildings and approx. 24 units.

You can watch the story, here.

Firefighters were able to get ahead of the fire by placing a trench cut and stopping it from moving into another building.

Every resident was able to make it out safely, while one occupant was evaluated on scene and refused further care. A Toledo firefighter was treated and transported to the hospital for a minor injury.

Residents at a nearby building in this complex say there were scary moments as the fire raged on.

“As soon as somebody’s yelling in your ear ‘Fire! Get Up! Get Up!’- you know, my legs didn’t even wanna work, that’s how fast I got out of bed,” said tenant Sara Lowe.

The American Red Cross is working with Monarch Investment and Management Group, the properties’ owner, to help those displaced by this fire, as Toledo Fire and Rescue investigates the cause.
