Final Vax-A-Million drawing Wednesday

TOLEDO, Ohio — Wednesday marks the final Vax-A-Million drawing and there’s reason to wonder: will an additional incentive be needed to promote vaccination statewide? Following the announcement of the sweepstakes, vaccinations skyrocketed, but have plunged since the first drawing.

So far, slightly more than 50% of Ohio’s population has received a COVID vaccine, meaning there’s still a ways to go before herd immunity can be achieved, which is when 70% of the population receives both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
