TOLEDO, Ohio — On Friday afternoon, the city of Toledo, working with the Ohio EPA, discovered a gas leak in the underground piping at the Mobil gas station on Dorr Street.

The leak has been isolated and contained. The gas pumps have been shut down and the station has been ordered to close by the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department, until the leak can be repaired.

The City of Toledo Department of Environmental Services will continue to monitor the area over the weekend. The area is considered safe, and there is no threat of air or water pollution. Updates will be provided if anything changes.

If residents smell gas or have concerns, they can call Engage Toledo at 419-936-2020.
