Gas prices falling, but remain higher than at the start of the new year
I spoke to a couple drivers to hear their thoughts on the price of gas, and any potential optimism they have about 2023’s prices.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Gas prices in 2022 were — quite simply — high. The national average peaked at $3.49, but that doesn’t even begin to account for how high prices got in some parts of the country. $4, $5, and even $6 in some parts of Los Angeles County.
So where do the gas prices stand here in Toledo, Ohio? Well, the trend is downward, but prices are still higher than they were even at the start of this year. A graph from toledogasprices.com shows just that. Currently, the average price in the area sits at around $3.30. The lowest price reported is $3.13 at the Circle K in Bowling Green.
