Governor Mike DeWine Requires Schools To Report COVID-19 Cases

Students at elementary schools, high schools, colleges and universities have tested positive for coronavirus in the local area.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — During his daily coronavirus briefing, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that schools will now be required to report coronavirus cases as a way of establishing transparency. The University of Toledo has more than 60 confirmed cases of the virus.

A majority of students in the Toledo area and the state returned to either in-person classes or online instruction. Toledo Public Schools students have yet to report back to classrooms, because classes will resume on September 8th online to give more time for educators to prepare.
