TOLEDO, Ohio — Throughout the last month, the Imagination Station has been hosting ‘Tinkering Takeover’ events at local library locations. The events are for kids ages 11–13 and they allow them to experiment with a variety of things, from remote controlled cars to electrical circuits.

“These events bring all of the wonderful experiences of doing hands-on learning with science and technology out into the community, to make it accessible for everyone,” said Caitlyn Carter of Imagination Station.

Carter says while these events are intended to educate in a fun way, they also allow kids to get creative.

“There’s no wrong answers. You get to learn by doing and working with your hands,” says Carter.

If you couldn’t make it out to this Tinkering Takeover event at the Mott Branch Library, Carter says the Imagination Station will be hosting more of these events at local library locations.

“We’ll be doing 3 more at 3 new library branches coming up in January. And then throughout 2021, you can expect to see us in at least 18 more places doing these Tinkering Takeovers around the Toledo community,” she adds.
