TOLEDO, Ohio — The Imagination Station is encouraging you to grab your party hats and noisemakers to get ready for a grand New Years celebration!

This year, the science center’s annual ball drop will send a total of 22,000 bouncy balls from three locations throughout the science center. 22 minutes later, there will be a double “ballplosion” that’ll launch even more celebratory balls into the air.

Throughout the day visitors can make their own “New Years Eve Eve” noisemakers. The Toledo Symphony will assist families to create them, and then “conduct” a musical countdown leading up to the largest bouncy ball drop in the science center’s history.

The science center is open to ticket holders only on “New Years Eve Eve” (December 30) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to all the exhibits and attractions, visitors can participate in the following activities:

∙ Create your own bouncy ball

∙ Decorate foam 2022 glasses

∙ Make wire and bottle cap noisemakers

∙ Build a shaker noisemaker
