In first ad, Majewski blames Kaptur, Biden for rising inflation
This could be the first of many adverts, as Ohio’s 9th Congressional District race heats up.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Ohio’s 9th Congressional District has mostly been an easy win for Democrats, but due to this year’s redrawn, challenge of a district, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur — who has been in office since 1983 — is being forced to run advertisement after advertisement. And now, opponent J.R. Majewski has purchased some air time of his own.
“Biden and Kaptur are spending more and more, while inflation goes up and up. I’m J.R. Majewski, and I approve this message, because we’ll never get inflation under control, until we get these career politicians out,” Majewksi said in his first ad.
He first gained attention for having a large Trump flag painted on the yard of his Port Clinton home back in 2020.
“It really boils down to President Trump’s ‘saving America’ platform: defending life, upholding christian values.”
Meanwhile, Kaptur’s ad buys are putting an emphasis on safety, with commercials featuring law enforcement and even one that paints Majewski as an extremist — who doesn’t belong in elected office.
“J.R. Majewski broke through police barricades, as our cops were under attack. Worse, Majewski blames the police,” said Ralph Green, a deputy sheriff with the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, in one of Kaptur’s many ads. “The police weren’t irresponsible, Majewski was. Majewski does not support law enforcement — he should not be our congressman.”
We will find out if Congresswoman Kaptur keeps her seat in congress on election day, Tuesday, November 8th. The deadline to register to vote in November’s general election is October 11th, with early, in-person, and absentee voting to begin on the 12th.
