TOLEDO, Ohio — Happy National Hot Dog Week to all who celebrate — or are planning to celebrate! If you’re one of those people, I have something you’ll be happy to hear.

Now through Sunday, the iconic hot dog eatery will, once again, be celebrating at all five of its restaurant locations. During those days, the restaurant will be donating 10 cents from the sale of each and every hot dog to the Salvation Army, an organization with a long-standing commitment to the community and relationship with Packo’s. The donation period will also include $2 Tuesday.

Tony Packo’s has served its famous hot dog, a Hungarian sausage traditionally dressed with mustard, onions, and the restaurant’s iconic sauce, since the 1930s. The item is currently celebrating its 90th anniversary.
