Community Focus: One-on-one with Toledo City Council candidate Mac Driscoll

I spoke to one of the candidates for an at-large seat on council. Mac Driscoll is running as a Democrat and says he hopes Toledoans will elect him, because he doesn’t want Toledo’s revitalization to stay within the boundaries of downtown.

“I’m running to make sure all of our neighborhoods get the same kind of attention and investment as downtown. There are a lot of contenders in the race this fall — and we’re aware of that. We’re just trying to break through. We are happy to be endorsed by the Democratic Party, Teamsters Local 20,” said Driscoll.

Driscoll’s current experience includes working for ConnecToledo, which aims to promote the city’s revitalization. He says that experience, combined with a love for the community, makes him the ideal candidate for city council.
