TOLEDO, Ohio — Tonight, State Representative Lisa Sobecki, a candidate for county commissioner, and candidate for state representative Erika White held a fundraising event tonight at Fowl & Fodder in downtown Toledo. The event celebrated women in leadership positions and their importance.

“We’re celebrating women tonight, so we’re celebrating women whatever their title is, whoever they are. Just really appreciating women in leadership, whether it’s in their church, their community, in their households, in schools — we just wanna make sure we’re celebrating this last day of women’s history and kicking it off for the rest of the year, so we can continue to make history,” said White.

And Sobecki agrees.

“Most importantly though too is that we’re having it at a woman-owned business. It’s not that we’re just talking the talk, we’re walking that talk. I’m really excited to go in this room- it’s filled with women that are supporting each other,” she added.

The event was attended by various other area Democrats seeking office, many of which were men who knew just how important it was to lend their support.
