Local girl to be recognized during Saturday’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards
11-year-old Leila Harris began her charity Leila’s Promise after asking, in the first grade, that other kids get gifts on Christmas Day — rather than her. And now, Harris’ heart is being awarded during Saturday’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
