Lucas County administrator announces resignation

Casiere already has her next opportunity lined up.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Lucas County Administrator Megan Vahey Casiere has notified the board of commissioners that she will be resigning her position, effective December 2nd, to pursue other professional opportunities.

Deputy County Administrator Jessica M. Ford will serve as the interim county administrator — effective tomorrow. Casiere is assisting in the transition to the new administration for the remainder of her employment with the county commissioners.

So, what’s next? She will begin her new position as CEO of the Employers’ Association in Maumee.
