TOLEDO, Ohio —Lucas County Canine Care & Control is asking for the public’s help in placing 30 adoptable dogs into temporary foster homes.

LC4 will be hosting a dog fostering event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The event is designed to reduce the number of dogs in the shelter — while simultaneously giving the dogs a break from the stress of shelter life.

Foster families are asked to house the dogs for at least 14 days. LC4 will continue to showcase the dogs on social media, including Facebook and the LC4 website. The foster families will be asked to act as ambassadors, and do their to best to interact in the community, including take their house guest to dog-friendly locations. Foster dogs will be sent home by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, visit lucascountydogs.com/dog-foster-event-on-october-8th/.
