Mass shooting Sunday in downtown Cleveland
TOLEDO, Ohio — Sunday, nine people were shot in downtown Cleveland. What we know from police and what the city’s mayor says is only exacerbating the issue of gun violence.
The shooting happened around 2:30 in the morning at West 6th Street and Johnson Court. Officers were already in the area, assigned to patrolling the warehouse district.
Preliminary information suggests a suspect opened fire toward a group of people and then fled the scene.
Investigators are in the process of reviewing evidence and video, as well as interviewing victims at a medical center.
No one was killed in this mass shooting, however, anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police. They say a $5,000 reward may be offered.
