RIGHT NOW: UAW President Shawn Fain says “we’re not gonna wait around forever” for a fair deal and that “we’re doing things differently this time around.” He says the union’s demands were given to the big three automakers two months ago, but that progress has been made in the last week.
THE PICKET GROWS: All the GM and Stellantis parts distribution facilities (38 locations) are being called to “stand up and strike” at noon ET, Fain says, after the union’s profit sharing proposals have been rejected. He says Ford, however, has been “serious” about reaching a deal.
