ODH: 50% of Ohioans have received at least one vaccine dose
This comes as additional vaccine incentives pop up statewide.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Health reports, in its latest vaccine data, that 50% of Ohioans have begun the vaccination process, which is just over 5.8 million people. As of Sunday, a total of 1,142,330 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the start of the pandemic, with 62,520 having been hospitalized and 8,529 admitted to the ICU.
Governor Mike DeWine held a press conference on Friday, saying that those who aren’t vaccinated will be left vulnerable to the Delta variant, which is spreading rapidly through the state and country.
“The most effective tool we have today is the vaccine,” DeWine said. “People who are not vaccinated are not safe. I want to make sure everyone has the facts.”
