The event was attended by the families of fallen Toledo Police officers Anthony Dia and Brandon Stalker.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost dropped the puck at the Toledo Memorial Classic charity hockey game between the Toledo Police and Columbus Division of Police, which was held Sunday at the Huntington Center in downtown Toledo.
Proceeds from the game benefitted the TPD Fallen Officer Memorial Scholarship, which helps students enrolled in the PS419 program at Toledo Public Schools further their education in public safety.
When asked about community relations and law enforcement, Yost said events like this bridge gaps and help both sides get to know one another better.
