Ohio reports +4,541 new COVID-19 cases Sunday

Although Sunday’s amount of reported COVID-19 cases isn’t record-breaking/setting, it’s still a sign of increased spread of the virus.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Sunday, Ohio reported 4,541 new COVID-19 cases, 102 more hospitalizations and 11 additional deaths.

Ohio broke its own record for daily Coronavirus cases repeatedly within the last few weeks. Two weeks ago, cases shot-up above 3,000 in one day for the first time. Gov. DeWine warned Ohioans weeks ago and said that hospitals are starting to fill-up and they need to wear masks.

The current test positivity rate is 8.4%., double the mid-September rate of 2.7%.
