Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose Releases Video On Election Security

Watch LaRose’s response to the now viral video.

TOLEDO, Ohio — There’s a video going viral, claiming absentee voting isn’t secure and that your party is printed on the return envelope. LaRose calls the video “BS” and says that Ohians should have confidence in the state’s election system.

Breaking down the video: First, yes, there was an R and D on the envelope as part of identifying the individual’s political party, although that is proper practice because this was a primary election for Republicans and Democrats. LaRose states that the video is from Florida, NOT Ohio.

The video is in fact real, but the claims made in the video are false. For reliable information on the upcoming presidential election, visit ohiosos.gov.
