OIU agents cite two liquor permit premises for violating state health orders
These cases will go before the Ohio Liquor Control Commission for potential penalties, including fines and/or the suspension or revocation of liquor permits.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Agents visited the following liquor-permitted establishments and issued citations after witnessing the violations:
Park Social Club, Cleveland, received a citation for improper conduct — disorderly activity and hindering inspection. Agents, the Cleveland Division of Police, Cleveland Division of Fire and the Cleveland Department of Health approached the establishment at 9:40 p.m., and observed patrons moving freely about the premises while consuming alcoholic beverages, congregating in groups without maintaining social distancing and no physical barriers in place. In August, agents cited the liquor permit for improper conduct-disorderly activities and permit not posted. Zinum 12, Lima, received a citation for after hours consumption — Rule 80. At 11:20 p.m., agents observed approximately seven people inside the liquor permit premise, one of which was consuming a bottle of beer. Additional open containers and mixed drinks were in front of the individuals sitting at the bar. Nothing regarding the statewide curfew was displayed inside the establishment. Agents reminded the liquor permit holder of the curfew. The permit holder explained to the agents that the individuals inside the bar were employees.
