TOLEDO, Ohio — It’s the floor speech that went viral. Michigan State Senator Mallory McMorrow (D-Royal Oak) responds to a bizarre fundraising email sent out by one of her Republican colleagues, Senator Lana Theis, claiming McMorrow and other Democrats want to “groom and sexualize” kindergartners.

Now, in this one-on-one interview, she is sharing more about what led up to her writing the speech, and the “gross” feeling she says the unsubstantiated claims made in Sen. Theis’ email left.
