OSHIIP to host virtual town hall to prepare Ohioans for Medicare open enrollment

Changes are coming to Medicare in 2023, with open enrollment set to begin in mid October.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Ohio Department of Insurance Director Judith French, and Medicare experts from the department’s Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program, are hosting a free, virtual town hall on October 4th at 11:30 a.m.

The town hall will help guide Ohioans through the Medicare changes coming in 2023, inform them on how to compare options and select coverage, as well as ways to save money and protect against fraud. Medicare open enrollment runs from October 15th to December 7th.

OSHIIP is the state’s official Medicare educational, plan comparison, and enrollment assistance program. To register for the town hall, visit the department’s website, insurance.ohio.gov.
