Secor Road closes for 210 days, due to bridge reconstruction

This closure will impact a very busy area for almost seven months.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Heads up, drivers! Secor Road, from Valleston Parkway to Towerview Boulevard, is now closed — and will be for quite a while.

The city of Toledo is working in conjunction with the village of Ottawa Hills to replace the bridge that carries Secor Road over the Ottawa River.

The project also includes the replacement of the existing bridge and the installation of new approach pavement and sidewalks.

Traffic can detour by taking Bancroft Street to University Hills Boulevard to Douglas Road to Dorr Street during the closure. Detour signage will be placed in both directions.

According to signage in the area, the closure will last approximately 210 days.
