TOLEDO, Ohio — It’s gearing up to be a “pop” spring and summer. New music arrived at the start of the year from Ariana Grande. Singles “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” off her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, were released January 12th and and March 8th, respectively. The album itself was released the same day as the latter single.

But now, the UK’s Dua Lipa, who has gained international stardom from both her debut and sophomore albums with hits like New Rules, Don’t Start Now, Levitating, Physical, Break My Heart — among others — is set to release her new body of work on May 3rd. Its release is being preceded by the singles Houdini, which peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100, and Training Season, which peaked at #27 (but appears to be getting more push outside the U.S.).

Also this year, new music is expected from Selena Gomez, who recently released the single “Love On,” as well as Beyoncé (Renaissance Act II: Cowboy Carter) and Taylor Swift (The Tortured Poets Department).
