Siren test scheduled for Friday in Lucas, Ottawa counties
The tests are an annual requirement for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant, according to a Lucas County spokesperson.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Friday at noon, Ottawa County will test the Emergency Planning Zone sirens for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant. The sounding of these 54 sirens, which are located in portions of Ottawa and Lucas Counties, will last for 3 minutes. This three-minute activation is an annual requirement. The sirens to be tested in Lucas County are located in Jerusalem Township.
