Solheim Cup flag raised at One Government Center
The flag will fly downtown until early September.

TOLEDO, Ohio — “Let’s raise the flag,” said Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz.
This morning, the Solheim Cup flag was raised at One Government Center. The flag raising takes place less than two weeks away from the golf tournament that’ll bring hundreds of thousands of people to the glass city.
Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz says downtown Toledo is the place to be during the week-long tournament.
“This part of Toledo, down in the core, is going to be a party like no one has ever seen. There’s gonna be fireworks, there’s going to be an opening ceremony, there’s going to be parties, concerts,” said Kapszukiewicz.
The flag will fly until the end of the tournament in early September.
