St. Francis de Sales announces new head football coach
The Knights’ newest head coach is a familiar face for many.
TOLEDO, Ohio — St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo has announced a new head football coach, replacing Dan Chipka, who stepped away from the position for a new role on the college level.
Former University of Toledo and NFL quarterback Bruce Gradkowski will lead the Knights’ football program starting later this year.
“I’m fired up. It’s such a great opportunity. To be part of St. Francis, football is life,” Gradkowski said in a statement. “I was fortunate enough to play professionally. To be able to give back and help student-athletes, not just on the field, but off the field, that’s what I am excited about. We’re going to be a group that focuses on what we can control. That’s our attitude, our effort, and our preparation.”
