Summer travel expected to exceed expectations as Americans get vaccinated, AAA experts say

TOLEDO, Ohio — Summer 21' will be the summer of travel, as Americans get vaccinated. “They may have a trip to one destination, and now they’re really saying, ‘you know, I really wanted to go here,’ and this seems like the year to do it,” said AAA VP of Leisure Travel, Chip Morgan.

AAA officials say they’ve seen a significant drop in the number of cancellations and are seeing a sharp rise in planned trips, but most travel is happening domestically, due to COVID-19 numerous, varying COVID restrictions from country to country.
