TOLEDO, Ohio — Some high schoolers work part-time jobs during the summer, others adventure, and then there are some who begin career prep a bit early. And the Ohio High School Tech Internship Program is now considered part of that career prep for those who are interested.

The program was launched this year, and the local liaison is Junior Achievement of Northwestern Ohio, which is currently accepting applications from interested students. The program provides the students with early exposure to opportunities in tech, while reimbursing the employers who host them.

Now, let’s talk dates. The deadline for students to send in their applications is April 1st. Then, on May 31st, students will find out where they’ll be interning. Between June 3rd and 7th is when students will have a meeting between themselves, the company, and Junior Achievement.
