TOLEDO, Ohio — Starting today, TARTA will increase its passenger limits to 20 riders per bus. On smaller vehicles, the new passenger limit will be 9 riders and this will apply to the TARPS and Call-A-Ride services. The decision is based on the availability of COVID vaccines for TARTA staff and passengers. This will also help meet growing ridership on the fixed bus route system and TARPS. Physical distancing within vehicles and rear-boarding on buses will remain in place.

The new spring service also introduces ‘Core’ service, which offers faster, more convenient service of every 30 minutes, where demand is the highest and on the highest demand routes. New Core service will be available Monday through Saturday. Saturday service hours remain at 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Continuation of Core service is subject to available funding.
