TOLEDO, Ohio — The Andersons is encouraging others to give back while also demonstrating it as a company. In a news release, The Andersons said it’s “pleased” to sponsor the Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity Playhouse Build at its headquarters.

The Andersons team members will assemble and decorate a playhouse before gifting and presenting it to a local family later that day. The playhouse kit was cut and primed earlier this year.

Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity hopes to complete 55 playhouse builds by the end of the year.

“We know, when children “play house” they are learning what having a home means to them, said Michael McIntyre of Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity. “The Playhouse Project plants the seed of homeownership in young children.”

“We believe we should generously share our time, talents and financial resources in support of worthwhile community endeavors,” said Julie Payeff, Community Commitment Manager.
