Toledo Fire & Rescue Department battles Labor Day house fire

While many of us had the opportunity to take this Labor Day off, there were plenty of Toledo Fire & Rescue Department firefighters spending the day in service of our community.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Around 2 p.m., the call came in about a fire in the 3000th block of Daleford in south Toledo. Firefighters arrived on scene and then began to battle through the smoke, quickly putting out the blaze.

The captain on scene told me that at the time, they didn’t have an official cause, but no firefighters or people inside the home were injured.

Those living inside the home were seen chatting as firefighters wrapped up their work on scene.

More should be known about this fire when an official report becomes available.
