Toledo Police George Kral addresses the media on overnight shooting

TOLEDO, Ohio — TPD confirms one person has died following last night’s mass shooting. The individual was a 17-year-old male and was airlifted to Michigan to seek medical treatment.

The shooting, which took place at a Lawrence Avenue and N. Detroit Avenue block party, is still being investigated. Toledo Police say not many of the witnesses have been cooperative.

Here’s a breakdown of the 11 remaining victims:

  • 9 are in stable condition, with their ages ranging from 11–19.
  • 2 are in serious condition, ages 19 & 51.

When confronted with a question regarding the firing of weapons by Toledo Police officers, Kral responded, saying any accusation that officers fired their weapons is “ridiculous”.
