TPD releases bodycam video of after-hours club shooting
The video may be disturbing to some, as you can hear multiple gunshots fired in the background.
TOLEDO, Ohio — November 27th, just after 2:00 a.m., Toledo Police officers were on patrol in the North End when they heard multiple gunshots fired. As officers put out the information over the police radio, two different ShotSpotter alerts came in: one alert for nine rounds fired and another for 23 rounds fired. The officers drove towards a known after-hours location at 3257 Stickney and got out of their car to investigate.
Soon after, bullets were flying around the officers’ heads as they attempted to investigate the gunshots they had heard. The officers sought cover and quickly learned that multiple people had been shot. They then began to search for the shooter.
As more officers arrived on scene, a perimeter was established and evidence was collected. In all, six people were shot and multiple shell casings were recovered.
December 10th, Toledo Municipal Court granted a one year injunction to have the known after-hours location boarded and closed for one year. If you have information about this felonious assault or any other crime, call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
