U.S. 30 westbound closed for emergency repairs
Due to a bridge strike, traffic is being detoured to Lincoln Highway.
LIMA, Ohio — U.S. 30 westbound between Interstate 75, State Route 696 and State Route 65 will be closing, Wednesday, Dec. 23, for several days due to emergency work on the Slabtown Road overpass.
On Tuesday evening, Dec. 22nd, Slabtown Rd. over U.S. 30 was closed due to a bridge strike. The closure of U.S. 30 westbound is to prepare for the removal of the damaged beam and bridge deck as soon as possible.
Traffic will be detoured to SR 696 (Lincoln Highway), to SR 65, back to U.S. 30, between the villages of Beaverdam and Cairo. Cool Road, Thayer Road, and Mayberry Road will be restricted to through traffic or U.S. 30 eastbound.
