U.S. Senate candidate Matt Dolan (D) makes a stop in BG
The senate candidate held a town hall with voters.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Tuesday, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Matt Dolan made a stop in downtown Bowling Green to chat with potential voters.
Chatting with me one-on-one, Dolan said he believes in increasing support for law enforcement, and will leave the door open for police reform to happen.
He discussed his hopes for the state of Ohio, experience working on the state level, and thoughts on the Republican Party — post-Trump.
“Where are we as Republicans? Are we ready to look forward or are we deciding we’re gonna go look backwards. And in one of the debates we had, a question was asked of all of us. ‘Raise your hand if you think it’s time for Republicans to move on from 2020.’ Well, folks, I raised my hand and not a single other person on that stage raised their hand,” the candidate told a room full of eager listeners at Beckett’s Burger Bar.
The senate candidate also blamed President Joe Biden for record inflation, claiming many of his policies have led up to this a record-breaking year.
