University of Toledo to celebrate investiture of Postel as 18th president
The ceremony is a tradition that dates back years.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The University of Toledo will celebrate the investiture of Dr. Gregory Postel as its 18th president at 10 a.m. Friday, October 8th, in Nitschke Auditorium. Postel joined the university as its interim president in July 2020, and the University of Toledo Board of Trustees appointed him as the university’s 18th president in March.
The traditional ceremony, commemorating the beginning of a new president’s tenure, is part of the university’s 2021 Homecoming activities leading up to the parade and Rocket football game against Northern Illinois University.
The ceremony will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in-person at video.utoledo.edu.
