University of Toledo’s 21st Annual Great Lakes Water Conference to tackle climate change
The virtual conference will be held Friday.
TOLEDO, Ohio — The University of Toledo’s 21st Annual Great Lakes Water Conference will tackle the topic of climate change and its impact on the Great Lakes. The conference titled “Climate Change and the Great Lakes” will be virtual in the form of a live webinar, this Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The conference is sponsored by the University of Toledo College of Law and its Legal Institute of the Great Lakes. Kim Channell, a climatologist at the University of Michigan’s Great Lakes Integrated Sciences and Assessments, will serve as the keynote speaker for the event. Channell will discuss the impacts of climate change on the Great Lakes region, primarily its water resources. Other speakers will address various aspects of climate change law and policy in the United States and Canada.
Registration for the half-day conference is free to the public and $50 for attorneys seeking 3.0 hours of Ohio Continuing Legal Education credit.
