TOLEDO, Ohio — In a time of need, a local ministry is stepping up to meet a need.

“We come up with ideas of how we can better service the community. This isn’t the only project that we’ve done,” said Joyce Singer, who leads the Perfecting Care outreach ministry of Perfecting Church Toledo.

And it won’t be the last.

“It’s important because there’s so many people that are struggling now,” said Evelyn Warner, another member of the ministry.

What she is referring to is the first of what will be many “Perfecting Care Clothing Closet” events. They will be held every second Saturday of the month from 11 to two.

“It is a closet where we offer free clothing to the community, to anyone that’s in need,” Singer added.

And in addition to clothing, shoes and even a nonprofit serving medicaid members were on hand to add to the experience. Singer stresses that this closet is a resource for anyone who may need that extra boost.

“Anyone can come in if they’re in need and can come in and get free clothing,” Singer emphasized.

Perfecting Church Toledo is located at 4609 Glendale Avenue.
