“What’s the Issue?” gun violence forum to be held tonight in Toledo

Panelists at the forum will include a local mayor, candidate for governor, representative of a community organization, and recent high school graduate.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Happening tonight, Toledo City Councilman Nick Komives and the Lucas County Young Democrats are hosting “What’s the Issue?”, a gun violence forum in the Scott High School auditorium, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Panelists include Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz (D-Toledo), gubernatorial candidate Nan Whaley (D), Avis Files, director of family and supportive services at Pathway Inc., and Breion Williams, a recent graduate of Skyway Career Prep High School.

This event will be the third in a series of monthly panel discussions featuring themes of abortion, affordable housing, labor rights, and more. All are welcome. Panelists will take questions.
